Speak to someone who understands the problem
☎
Whether it’s a software problem, a planned improvement, an inherited system or something urgent, the fastest way to get anywhere is usually a conversation.
You won’t be routed through departments or asked to explain the problem twice. You’ll speak directly to somebody who works on databases and business software every day.
[CDE to confirm: hours, and what happens outside them]
What people usually ring about
- The existing database is causing problems
- The original developer has disappeared
- Business-critical software needs support and nobody’s providing it
- A system has become slow or unreliable
- Changes are needed to an existing application
- They’re not sure whether to upgrade, modernise or replace something
- They want expert advice before committing to an expensive decision
A short conversation is usually the quickest route to understanding the problem and working out the sensible next step. We don’t charge for that.

Free initial consultation
We wouldn’t buy anything without first discussing and agreeing what was needed, and we wouldn’t expect you to either.
If you’re considering a project, we’ll come and see you — talk to your people, look at what you’ve got, and give you a budget cost and an outline programme. Free, and with no obligation.
If all you want at this stage is a rough figure, we’re just as happy to do that over the phone.
If it’s urgent
If users can’t get at their data, a critical application has failed, or the business has stopped — ring, don’t email.
The sooner a problem is looked at, the more options you tend to have.
